University Of Georgia -
Visual Arts Building

Renovations

Originally constructed in 1962 and designed by seminal Atlanta modernist Joe Amisano, this landmark building was re-purposed to provide new, state-of-the-art design studios, classrooms, lecture halls, the Owens Library, and administrative / faculty offices. Conservation and rehabilitation of the building included the careful insertion of advanced chilled beam and water recycling systems, achieving LEED Gold sustainability, and helping to exemplify the mission of UGA’s College of Environment and Design.
