Additions and Renovations

The University of Georgia Veterinary Medicine Lab is a state-of-the-art 30,000 SF facility located in the heart of UGA’s historic north campus. The lab consists of an immersive teaching lab space, supporting classrooms, and interactive learning areas. The innovative HVAC system allows for a comfortable learning environment and performs 20 full air changes in space every hour, which is comparable to the highest healthcare and lab facilities in the country. This facility was developed to support UGA’s top-tier College of Veterinary Medicine which is now ranked in the top three of all CVMs in the nation. The lab space includes live animal housing and a walk-in freezer/cooler for hands-on cadaver education while using fully integrated multimedia platforms to assist professors with the demand of the growing student body. The newly constructed Veterinary Medicine Lab embodies the vision of the mission and values set forth for the University of Georgia to maintain its status as a top-tier veterinary medical school in the nation.
