We consistently develop our construction processes to move towards a more sustainable future. We utilize the latest technology, materials, and procedures to help reduce our carbon footprint and alleviate maintenance costs, which ultimately lead to higher productivity, performance, and personnel health. For each of our projects, we strive to maintain existing landscaping and natural features, as well as sustainable materials and recycling, which are most beneficial for sustainability. Evergreen recycles approximately 1,732 tons of materials on each of our projects. Sustainability is not only the right thing to do, but it’s also the best practice for the future.
Safety and Quality come first at Evergreen. We focus heavily on the safety and welfare of everyone working on-site as well as site visitors and the public surrounding our sites. We retain a professional third-party safety consultant to help us identify and implement site-specific safety procedures. Our approach to safety is validated by our outstanding record, including an award recognizing Evergreen for compiling a decade, consisting of over 1.5 million consecutive man-hours, without a lost time accident. We have also been recognized as one of the safest companies in the construction industry, we were awarded the Amerisure Insurance Safety Award and the BB&T Insurance Lighthouse Beam Safety Award.
Evergreen Construction works collaboratively with our clients and design team partners through the design and pre-construction stage of the process. We perform in-house estimating, constructability reviews, scheduling, design review, and planning in-house. We utilize the preconstruction phase to ensure all projects are completed within the Owner’s budget and time constraints. Through pre-construction, we ensure all projects are set up for success.
We lead the team during the construction phase of this project and are responsible and accountable for most issues that may arise at this time. The fact that we are also integral to the preconstruction phase of the project enables us to provide professional information, support, input, and guidance. With consistent, open communication with key team members, it is unlikely that any insurmountable issues will arise. We assist with the resolution of any issues using a team partnering approach to enable each team member to reach their goals and objectives, provided those objectives meet the overall needs of each project and are in the best interest of the Owner.
